What You Receive

  • Models supplied unpainted in grey or terracotta-coloured resin, unless otherwise stated.

  • Bases are not included unless specified in the listing.

  • Some printing supports may remain attached. Careful removal, cleaning and light sanding may be needed before priming and painting.

  • Please check the listing for the number of models and any included accessories.

Choosing Your Scale

A smaller second number means a larger model: 1:32 is larger than 1:76.

Figure heights and proportions can vary between manufacturers, even at the same stated scale. Please check any listed measurements and our size chart before ordering.

Need a different scale? Contact us-many models can be produced in additional sizes.

Product Images

Some images are digital 3D renders rather than photographs of printed models. Images with a black background show the digital design prepared for printing.

Painted examples are shown for inspiration; all models are supplied unpainted. Printed colour, surface finish and visible detail may vary, particularly at smaller scales.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about choosing your scale, ordering our models and preparing them for painting.

Our Models

Are your models supplied painted?

All models are supplied unpainted unless the product listing specifically states otherwise.

Painted examples show how a finished model could look. Some product images are 3D renders showing the design and detail.

What colour will my model be?

Models are normally supplied in grey or terracotta-coloured resin, unless otherwise stated.

The resin colour may vary between orders. A suitable primer provides a consistent surface before painting.

Do the models need assembling?

Most figures are supplied as a single piece. Some larger models, accessories, wagons and artillery pieces may arrive in separate parts and require assembly.

Check the product description for details. Before gluing, test-fit the parts and use an adhesive suitable for resin.

Are bases and accessories included?

Bases are not included unless stated in the listing.

Please check the description for the number of models supplied and any included accessories. Display scenery and other items shown in photographs are not included unless specifically listed.

Will I need to remove printing supports?

Some small printing supports or support marks may remain. These may require careful removal and light finishing before painting.

Use fine modelling cutters and support delicate areas while working. Avoid pulling or twisting supports away, as this can damage the model.

Are these models suitable for children?

Our models are intended for adult hobbyists and collectors. They contain small parts and may have delicate or pointed details. They are not toys.

Choosing the Correct Scale

What does a scale such as 1:76 mean?

Scale tells you how much smaller a model is than the real subject.

For example, at 1:76 scale, every 76 mm on the real subject becomes 1 mm on the model.

A smaller second number means a larger model: 1:32 is larger than 1:76.

How tall will my figure be?

The table below gives approximate heights for a standing person who would be 1.75 metres tall in real life.

Scale Common use Approximate figure height
1:148 British N gauge 12 mm
1:120 TT scale 15 mm
1:87 HO scale 20 mm
1:76 OO scale 23 mm
1:72 Military modelling 24 mm
1:48 Figures and dioramas 36 mm
1:43 British O gauge and vehicles 41 mm
1:35 Military modelling 50 mm
1:32 Figures, vehicles and slot cars 55 mm
1:24 Larger models and displays 73 mm
1:22.5 Some garden railway models 78 mm
1:20 Figures and displays 88 mm
1:16 Large figures and military models 109 mm
1:12 Dolls’ houses and display models 146 mm

Heights are measured from the soles of the feet to the top of the head, excluding bases and headwear. Seated, kneeling and bending figures will have a lower overall height.

These measurements are a guide. Children, taller adults and shorter adults will naturally differ.

Will your figures match models from other manufacturers?

Models described as the same scale can differ in height, build and proportions between manufacturers.

Wargaming figures may also use exaggerated proportions, particularly for heads, hands and weapons. Descriptions such as “28 mm” do not always use the same measuring method.

If you need a close match, contact us before ordering with the scale, manufacturer and approximate height of your existing figures.

I cannot see the scale I need. Can you help?

Please contact us with the product you are interested in and the scale or finished height required. We can advise whether a suitable version can be produced.

Very small or unusually large versions may need changes to preserve detail and strength.

Ordering and Delivery

Are your models made to order?

Our models are generally made to order. Please normally allow 7–10 working days for production before dispatch, unless the listing or a current shop notice gives a different timescale.

Delivery time is additional to production time. Larger orders and custom work may take longer.

Can you meet a particular deadline?

If you need models for a show, gift or project deadline, please contact us before placing your order.

We will advise what is achievable. Please do not assume that adding a deadline to your order notes guarantees delivery by that date.

Where do you deliver?

Please check our current delivery information and the destinations available at checkout.

If your country is unavailable, contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether delivery is possible.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged or something is missing?

Please contact us with your order number, a description of the problem and clear photographs where relevant.

For delivery damage, please also keep the packaging and photograph any visible damage to it. This helps us investigate and arrange an appropriate solution.

Preparing Resin Models

How should I prepare my model before painting?

  1. Check the model and carefully remove any remaining supports.

  2. Gently wash it in lukewarm water with a little washing-up liquid. Do not leave it soaking.

  3. Rinse carefully and allow it to dry completely.

  4. Remove small support marks with a fine file or fine abrasive, taking care around delicate details.

  5. If needed, fill small surface imperfections with a filler suitable for resin models.

  6. Remove any dust and ensure the surface is clean and dry.

  7. Apply a suitable modelling primer before painting.

Avoid moisturising hand soaps, which may leave a residue.

What precautions should I take when sanding?

Avoid creating or breathing in resin dust. Use wet sanding where practical, suitable respiratory protection and a well-ventilated working area.

Clean your work area afterwards and follow the safety instructions supplied with your tools, adhesives, fillers and paints.

What if a part is bent or warped?

Please contact us with a photograph before attempting to reshape it, particularly if the part is delicate.

Do not force a cold resin part into position, as it may snap. We can advise on the most suitable approach for that particular model.

What if my model feels sticky or tacky?

Please contact us before painting or attempting further curing. Avoid handling the affected area with bare skin.

Do not try to solve the problem using solvents, heat or prolonged sunlight. Send us your order number and a photograph so we can help.

How should I store and handle resin models?

Handle delicate models by their strongest areas and avoid pressure on thin parts such as ankles, tools and weapons.

Store them away from direct sunlight and heat sources, including hot windowsills and cars. Use protective packaging when transporting them.

Painting Your Models

Do I need to use primer?

Yes. A suitable primer helps paint adhere and provides an even starting surface.

Apply light coats so that fine details remain visible. Grey is a useful general-purpose choice; white suits brighter finishes, while black provides a darker starting point.

What paints should I use?

Water-based acrylic modelling paints are a good choice for most hobbyists. Follow the paint manufacturer’s instructions and allow the primer to dry fully before painting.

Several thin coats usually give a smoother result than one thick coat.

What equipment do I need to get started?

A simple starter kit includes:

  • A medium brush for larger areas.

  • A fine pointed brush for details.

  • Modelling primer and a small selection of paints.

  • A palette, water pot and paper towel.

  • Good lighting.

  • Fine cutters and finishing tools for preparation.

A brush with a good point is often more useful than a very tiny brush.

What order should I paint in?

A straightforward approach is:

  1. Prime the model.

  2. Paint the main clothing and other large areas.

  3. Paint skin, hair, equipment and accessories.

  4. Add shadows to recessed areas.

  5. Add lighter highlights to raised details.

  6. Make any final corrections.

  7. Apply a suitable protective varnish.

For small figures, neat main colours and a little shading can be very effective. You do not need to paint every tiny detail.

Do I need to paint the eyes?

At smaller scales, subtle shading around the eye sockets is often enough. Large white eyes can look out of proportion.

On larger figures, use restrained colours and a fine pointed brush if you wish to add more detail.

Should I varnish the finished model?

A suitable modelling varnish helps protect the painted finish, particularly on models that will be handled.

Matt varnish suits most clothing and skin. Satin or gloss finishes can be useful for selected details. Allow the paint to dry fully and follow the varnish manufacturer’s instructions.

Custom Figures and Digital Files

Can you turn my photograph into a model?

Our Mini Maker 3D service is designed to create 3D-printable models from suitable photographs.

Clear photographs from several angles help show the subject’s appearance, clothing and pose. Results depend on the photographs supplied, and very fine details may need adjustment for small-scale printing.

You must own the photographs or have permission to use them and the person’s likeness.

Does a digital download include a physical model?

No. A digital download is a file, not a posted resin model.

Please check the listing carefully before purchasing. If you would like a physical print, contact us to discuss suitability and request a quotation.

Can I sell prints made from your digital files?

Please check the licence supplied with the particular file. Personal-use files do not include permission to sell physical prints or to share, sell or redistribute the digital files.

Commercial printing requires an appropriate licence.
