About Scale Model Figures

A small team with a big passion for the miniature world.

Scale Model Figures began in 2016, with the aim of helping modellers bring their scenes to life through detailed figures, interesting characters and the little touches that make a layout or diorama feel complete.

Since then, we have continued to develop our range, build relationships across the hobby and explore new ways to make miniature modelling accessible and affordable.

A Small, Family-Involved Business

We are a small team with family involved in the business and an ex-forces background forming part of our story.

We bring that practical approach, attention to detail and sense of humour to what we do. From developing ideas to preparing orders, we care about the models we produce and the people who buy them.

Being a small business means there are real people behind the website—people who understand how much thought, time and enthusiasm goes into a modelling project.

Miniatures for All Kinds of Modellers

Our interests stretch across the miniature world. We produce figures, animals, scenery, buildings and accessories for:

  • Model railways.

  • Slot car layouts.

  • Military and historical dioramas.

  • Tabletop wargaming.

  • Fantasy scenes.

  • Collectors and individual display projects.

Whether you need a single character to finish a scene or a group of figures to tell a bigger story, our aim is to offer subjects with detail, personality and a useful choice of scales.

Built on Relationships Across the Hobby

Over the years, we have developed great contacts throughout the scale modelling world, including painters, model makers, scenery specialists and fellow enthusiasts.

Those relationships bring fresh ideas, helpful knowledge and opportunities to work together. We value being part of a creative community where people share techniques, encourage one another and take pride in what they make.

Our customers are part of that community too. Your questions, suggestions and finished projects help shape the subjects we explore next.

Growing Beyond Scale Model Figures

As our experience has grown, so have our ideas. Alongside Scale Model Figures, we are developing other ways to enjoy creating, painting and collecting miniatures.

Mini Maker 3D — Your Ideas in Miniature

Mini Maker 3D opens up a more personal side of the hobby, helping people create 3D models from photographs or written ideas.

It offers a starting point for subjects that may never appear in a standard catalogue—from a familiar face or much-loved pet to a character imagined for a particular scene.

Our aim is to make custom miniature creation approachable, including for people with no previous experience of 3D modelling.

War Bods — Character for the Tabletop

War Bods brings our enthusiasm for miniatures into historical and fantasy wargaming.

With characterful figures, interesting subjects and a touch of British humour, we are building ranges for people who enjoy gaming, painting and collecting.

From military subjects to fantasy characters, the ambition is the same: enjoyable models that inspire your next project.

Working Towards a More Affordable Hobby

We know how quickly the cost of a modelling project can add up. Figures, scenery, paints, tools and materials all compete for the same hobby budget.

We want detailed miniatures to be something more people can enjoy.

By combining practical experience with resin 3D printing, digital modelling and AI-assisted design tools where appropriate, we work to keep development and production costs manageable.

That helps us offer a wider choice of subjects while working towards sensible, accessible prices. We want customers to feel comfortable starting a small project, trying something different or gradually building a larger collection.

An Honest Approach

We believe in explaining clearly what you are buying.

Our physical models are generally supplied unpainted in grey or terracotta-coloured resin, unless the listing states otherwise. Some images show digital renders or painted examples, and some models need light preparation or assembly.

We also recognise that there is always room to improve. Helpful feedback matters to us, whether it concerns a product description, a design detail or an idea for a future figure.

Still Building, Still Learning

Since starting in 2016, we have grown through enthusiasm, practical work and the support of our customers.

We remain a small business with plenty of ideas and a clear ambition: to keep making interesting miniatures, build useful services and help more people enjoy the hobby.

Thank you for being part of our journey—whether you have supported us for years or are discovering us for the first time.
